He and his trumpet-playing friend Ray Flores called the band they founded Los Reyes de Albuquerque. For more than four and a half decades now, that band has presented and preserved the violin and guitar music of northern New Mexico. Now 80 years-old and facing prostate cancer, founder Roberto Martinez calls this coming Saturdays performance at Albuquerques Outpost Performance Space his farewell appearance with Los Reyes de Albuquerque.
